“Tell me a fact and I’ll learn. Tell me a truth and I’ll believe. But tell me a story and it will live in my heart forever.” – Ed Sabol
We are a showcase for stories presented with VR/AR technology, as well as stories using a hybrid of traditional and virtual formats. For example, our first epic (Points in Time) is being developed with a hybrid format, which we call an iPlayScreen.
An iPlayScreen is a browser based interactive graphic novel with 2D animated scenes and selected scenes with VR that don’t require headgear. (Alternative versions of scenes that require headgear will be optional for users.)
We believe iPlayScreens are an important intermediary alternative until VR headgear becomes comfortable enough to allow immersive VR to be the predominant vehicle for story telling.
However, the gear won’t matter, if there aren’t great stories to tell and interesting techniques for telling them. As a result, we are happy to encourage innovation by giving all developers the opportunity to showcase their completed projects, as well as ones in development.
VR Epics is also a showcase for projects which provide an exciting or educational experience using VR or AR .
If you have a VR/AR game that needs players or help with development, we’d be happy to tell people about it.
Please send an email about your project to inquiry at VRepics.com.
